康熙元年清政府下令停铸上代“顺治通宝”钱，而改铸“康熙通宝”钱，并规定以后凡是嗣位改元，所铸钱制皆如此例。按照背面文字可以分成两大类：一类是仿"顺治四式"的满文钱。钱背满文"宝泉"、"宝源"左读，是户、工两部所造。另外一类是仿"顺治五式"满汉文钱。当时全国共开设铸钱局24处，由于受当时冶铸工本和钱币私铸等问题的影响，每一文康熙钱曾分别重一钱四分、一钱、七分，便产生了大、中、小三种不同重量的“康熙通宝”钱。不同铸钱局铸行的钱币各不相同，将这24种钱币集齐即一套，从这24种钱币正面文字看，没有多大区别，皆为康熙通宝，其背文却各不相同，除户部宝泉局和宝源局为满文外，其它22种钱币均为满汉两文各有一字，其左为满文，右为汉文，这22个汉字代表22个铸钱局，若细分版别，还有一种康熙“罗汉钱”。 “罗汉钱”是专为康熙皇帝60寿辰而铸的一种祝寿钱。康熙是清代在位最久的皇帝，长达61年，康熙52年（1713年）3月，正是他60大寿，特命户部宝泉局（当时的造币厂）精铸一批“万寿钱”作为寿辰纪念，钱币背面左右为满文“宝泉”两字，表示北京户部宝泉局制造。

自雍正十三年（1735年），清高宗即位，改元乾隆。便下令铸行“乾隆通宝”，要求仍重一钱二分，该钱书法铸工都比雍正时更为精美。最初清朝政府仍继续执行通货紧缩的政策。钱局较雍正时有所增减，首先在乾隆四年，停了宝河、宝巩、宝济三局，于乾隆五年时开宝福局，七年开宝桂局，十年开宝直局。乾隆朝以前的制钱不加锡，以铜、铅、锌配制，称之为“黄钱”，在乾隆五年规定在铸钱铜料之中加百分之二的锡，称为“青钱”。官方说是为杜绝私钱，实际上无异于减重。乾隆四十年时，私铸情况日盛，各省官员出现盗铸，政府对此无计可施，加上云南铜产量逐年递减，导致铜价飞涨，铸钱成本也随之水涨船高。清政府继而又采取了通货紧缩政策，先后停铸了宝直、大理、广西、临安等局，同时鼓励商人从海外进口铜材。但是这些措施未能从根本上解决问题，私铸虽有所减少，但官钱不见增加，民间交易缺钱，就出现了使用古钱的现象。到了乾隆五十年后，又相继开了宝直等局，同时放宽了铸钱的标准，所以导致乾隆后期制钱的质量参差不齐，大不如初的情况。此外在乾隆朝时期在新疆出了“乾隆通宝”红钱（也做普尔钱，“普尔”维语即钱的意思），是以新疆产铜为原料，在新疆地区铸行的，此后各朝均有铸行。下图是小编有幸见到的乾隆通宝及嘉庆通宝。

据《故宫清钱谱》记载：仁宗嘉庆元年，行嘉庆通宝钱。按乾隆六十年高宗归政，是年户部奏准，乾隆、嘉庆年号钱各半分铸，各直省卫藏照此一律办理。嘉庆元年太上皇帝谕，改乾隆而成，嘉庆八成。六年，户部奏准全铸嘉庆钱。由此可知，嘉庆通宝年号钱为嘉庆元年，也就是1796年始铸。其钱币采用顺治四式背满文钱钱式，钱面汉字“嘉庆通宝”楷书，钱背满文左“宝”，右纪局。嘉庆时期，钱局共19个，分别为宝泉、宝源、宝苏、宝浙、宝南、宝昌、宝川、宝云、宝福、宝武、宝桂、宝晋、宝广、宝东、宝陕、宝黔、宝直、宝伊、阿克苏。

清代钱币在钱币收藏市场一直受众人所爱，尤其是康熙、乾隆二位皇帝的钱币，康熙、乾隆年间的钱币被大多数人收藏，不愿再度出手，导致此类钱币在收藏品市场一度出现断层。

康熙通宝、该钱币黄铜古色，钱币外圆内方，正面直读康熙通宝，背面镌有“宝泉”二字的满文，标明其铸造局，钱币经历过历史颠肺流离的洗练，品相仍保存完整无损，包浆入骨，实乃不易，乃珍品也。

 

清乾隆通宝、钱币正面钤有“乾隆通宝”，书体为楷书。背文沿用雍正满文钱式，穿左为“宝”，穿右铸各局名。新疆红钱左多满文，而右为回文。此枚乃宝源局，钱币正面“乾隆通宝”。黄铜质，传世品，外缘的浇铸口未经修整。主要特征：宽外缘，细内廓，扁“乾”长“宝”，满文出头宝。此币外缘之宽，与宝苏常平式相比，有过之而无不及。

 

嘉庆通宝钱币外圆内方，正面钤有嘉庆通宝四字，直读，背面镌有宝源满文，标明其铸造局。此钱币现存世量极少，虽然经历了无情岁月的洗礼，但如今依然保存还可以。藏品整体保存完好无缺，有如刀刻所成，铸造工艺神乎其技。
