三 角 龙（属名：Triceratops）鸟臀目角龙下目角龙科的草食性恐龙的一属，化石发现于北美洲的晚白垩纪晚马斯特里赫特阶地层，约6800万年前到6500万年前。三角龙是最晚出现的恐龙之一，经常被作为晚白垩纪的代表化石。目前已有两个有效种：褶皱三角龙、究竟三角龙，但还有其他属被命名。三角龙也是最著名的恐龙之一，也是在通俗文化中非常受欢迎的恐龙。

去年，在法国巴黎的埃菲尔铁塔下，一场别开生面的拍卖会引人注目。被拍卖的不是任何一位艺术家的作品，而是大自然经过亿万年的进化产生的杰作——某种新型异特龙的一副近乎完整的骨架化石。最终，这件拍品以200万欧元成交。这一高价无疑体现了人们对恐龙化石的钟爱之情。

远古生物的骨架大多难以保存下来。它们首先肯定死在有水的地方，并迅速被泥沙覆盖，才能躲过食腐动物的破坏。其次，它们所处的地层不能在此后漫长的岁月中被毁，更不能沉入地幔。最后，它们还要在暴露于地表之后尽快被发现，避免被风化的命运。这样看来，每一块化石都是一系列巧合叠加在一起的奇迹，自然价值不菲。
