该币为‘湖南省造当制钱双旗铜币’一枚，品相保存完整，文字清晰可见，表面有轻微磨损，该币正面图案中央为两面交叉的国旗，上方为“湖南省造”4个字，下面为记值：当制钱二十文。背面图案为稻穗组成的嘉禾纹，周边并有英文标注”TWENTY CASH”。

　　钱币正面中央左为星旗、右为五色旗，两面国旗上系结带相互交叉，外缘上铸“湖南省造”四字，下铸纪值“當制钱二十文”，左右分列花枝；钱币背面中央为稻穗组成的嘉禾纹禾穗，纹饰别致，边缘环英文，保存较为完好。此枚钱币做工精美，钱文明晰，包浆极为浓厚，品相较佳。

　　现存世量不多，具有很高的收藏和投资价值，上面的绿锈也见证了其历史年代的沉积，不难看出它明显的历史过渡性特征，虽然历经沧桑，但纹路依然隐约可见，有着难以言表的收藏价值和投资价值。
