“应圣元宝”是五代十国期间燕王刘守光在应天元年（911年）铸造的钱币，由于为试铸币所以存量稀少。中国古钱“五十名珍”之一。

唐朝灭亡后出现了历史上的“五代十国”阶段。五代初期，刘仁恭之子刘守光于后梁乾化元年自号“大燕皇帝”，改元“应天”。燕王刘守光在应天元年（911年）铸造了“应圣元宝背拾”“乾圣元宝背百”‘顺天元宝背千’“应天元宝”，北燕是一个很小的政权，存在仅三年（911年—913年）。“应圣元宝”为试铸币，其存世量非常稀少，华光谱所著《中国古钱大集》将此钱币定为一级，无定价。

After the fall of Tang Dynasty, there appeared a historical stage of "Five Dynasties and ten countries". At the beginning of the Five Dynasties, Liu Shouguang, the son of Liu rengong, was named "emperor Dayan" in the first year of Qianhua in the post Liang Dynasty and changed to "Yingtian". Liu Shouguang, king of Yan, in the year of yingtianyuan (911), cast "yingshengyuanbao Bei Shi", "qianshengyuanbao Bei Bai", "shuntianyuanbao Bei Qian" and "yingtianyuanbao". Beiyan is a very small regime, which only existed for three years (911-913). "Ying shengyuanbao" is a trial coin, which has a very small amount of life. Hua Guangpu's collection of ancient Chinese money sets this coin as a first-class coin, without a price.

据现存资料和实物见闻统计，近年来燕故地又出了枚背“万”白铜大钱，且品相绝佳，加上谱载品现存两枚。背“千”前后出现过三枚，一为传世品，其包浆底锈尚好，只是磨损严重，造成钱文漫漶；二为生坑品，河南出土，品相甚好，惜已落归海外大藏家箧中。目前国内硕果仅存的是一枚生坑鎏金钱，为河南洛阳泉家所藏，一直视如拱璧。背“百”钱除谱载品外，据业内传言东北和河南各曾出过一枚，皆为真品无疑，只是藏家秘不示人，难窥庐山真目。背“拾”则陆续出了四枚，内中有枚河南巩义出的带有鎏金痕迹之钱，制作较为精致；总之，其目前面世数量不超过十枚。

There are four pieces of gold-plated money from Gongyi of Henan Province, among which are exquisite. In a word, there are no more than ten pieces of gold-plated money.

是品生坑鎏金“顺天元宝”背“千”大钱，为上述三枚之中最为精彩者。据原藏家言：1992年得之于河南洛阳古玩市场上，生坑，具体出土地不详。其钱红斑绿绣，背面有部分白碱锈，当时因锈迹太大难见真貌，后经沸水浸泡，刀剔除锈，使之钱文清晰，始知是枚鎏金钱。其形制浑厚，轮廓周正，铸工精整，品相极佳；钱文古拙洒脱，娴熟流畅，书体多有行草笔意，且疏密有致，遒劲有力，看似稚拙，实则颇有韵味。是钱虽出之于河南洛阳，与史思明据东都时所铸“顺天元宝”背月纹年号钱同名，但风格迥异，具有浓厚的五代时期大钱气息，从背文纪值上看，当为刘守光改元应天时所铸的套子钱品种。推测地说，应天、顺天、乾圣、应圣系列纪值套钱殆为纪念性质的庆典钱，由于铸量甚少，存世极为珍罕，尤其是这枚背“千”大钱，除了可填补钱谱所载套钱的缺失品种外，还兼有极高的史料价值，是不可多得的古泉名珍之一

From the perspective of back culture and discipline value, it is the set money variety cast by Liu Shouguang when he changed yuan to answer the heaven. It is speculated that Yingtian, Shuntian, Qiansheng and Yingsheng series of money value sets are almost commemorative celebration money.
