咸丰（公元1851年至1861年七月）为中国清朝入关后第七位皇帝清文宗爱新觉罗奕詝的年号，前后共使用11年。咸丰年间正值太平天国革命运动的高潮时期。此时民怨沸腾，清政府为了苟延残喘，在钱币铸行上大做文章，将财政危机转嫁到老百姓身上。
