【简介】：笔洗即专事洗笔之具，书案上笔墨用毕须洗去毫中的余墨，以便于再次使用。清宫中的笔洗造型多创新，材质也极富华，深浅各异，小巧雅丽，多有前代所无之品种。笔洗多为敞口、浅腹，以陶瓷、玉、铜等制成，有圆形、桃形、葵花形、荷叶形、莲花形、蔗段形等。早在宋代已有典雅的瓷笔洗问世。明清时达到顶峰。明人屠隆《考槃余事》一书即载有玉、铜、陶等多种质地、多种式样的笔洗或作笔洗用的器物。明代以前，铜质笔洗甚为罕见。宋人王君玉《国老谈苑》记载太守一日写书，笔滞，思欲涤砚中宿墨，顾左右，咸不在，因自俯铜池涤之。”此铜池就是铜笔洗，然未见实物。
