Guangxu Yuanbao was the first currency with large denominations in circulation during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. It was the first batch of currency issued and issued in my country that introduced overseas technology, and it also has a certain historical significance for today. Gold is a traditional metal decoration craft that has been produced since the pre-Qin period. It is a traditional method called fire gold plating or mercury plating.

At the end of the Qing Dynasty, the price of copper rose sharply, and the folks destroyed the money for copper, in order to obtain several times the profit, and the market appeared money shortage. Due to the suspension of casting and making money in Guangdong, the market is short of making money, making small-amount circulation very inconvenient. In order to save the money shortage, influenced by the Hong Kong copper dollar and foreign currencies, in June 26th Guangxu, Governor Deshou of Guangdong and Guangxi and former governor Li Hongzhang played a quasi-Guangdong imitation of Hong Kong copper cents casting mechanism copper dollar. Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, took the lead in introducing British coin minting machines to cast silver and copper dollars, and the provinces followed suit. There are a total of 19 provincial bureaus and bureaus. Except for the central household department, the copper yuan cast by the local provinces has the name of the province on the upper edge of the front. Therefore, the casting of machine-made copper yuan in the Qing Dynasty began in Guangdong. Then Fujian, Jiangsu, and Sichuan provinces such as Guangxu Yuanbao copper coins successively imitation copper yuan.

As the ancient silver dollar market has become extremely hot in recent years, the value of many silver dollars has risen exponentially, such as Yuan Datou silver and Daqing silver coins. According to industry analysts, the Qing Dynasty silver dollar has been steadily rising over the years. Treasure coins appeared in the auction market one after another, and more collectors began to pay attention to the collection of modern silver coins. The market price of silver dollars in the Qing Dynasty also rose rapidly, and silver dollar collections will become hot again. Among them, Guangxu Yuanbao is the first choice of many collectors, and the Ssangyongshou coin in Guangxu Yuanbao is frequently sold at sky-high prices.

In this Guangxu Yuanbao, the front of the coin is divided into two parts: an inner circle and an outer circle. The bead circle is the boundary. The inner circle is engraved with the four characters "Guangxu Yuanbao" in Manchu and the outer circle is divided into two parts, the top and the bottom. The top is engraved with "Made in Guangdong Province" in four italics, and the bottom is the coin's value at the time-"Kuping one tael", with a bat pattern cast on the left and right sides, which is vivid and lively. The design of the layout is obviously slightly different from ordinary coins, extremely delicate, and it is indeed a rare treasure in the art collection world. Looking at the reverse side of the coin, it is also divided into two parts: the inner ring and the outer ring. The bead ring on the back is cast with a two-dragon play bead pattern. The lines are elegant and vivid, and the craftsmanship is extremely exquisite, which makes people full of praise; A seal body deforms the character "Shou". The design of the silver coin is very distinctive, novel and ingenious, and the pair of bats cast on both sides of the front side symbolize auspiciousness. Because the word "bat" of bats is homophonic with the word "福", the pattern of bats on the coin surface is intended to take the homonyms of the words "bat" and "福", which corresponds to the word "shou" on the back, meaning "Fu Shou Shuang Quan" . It can be said to have profound meaning, and it is worth savoring by Tibetan friends.
