大清铜币，学名清代机制铜圆，铸造始于1900年（清光绪二十六年），止于1911年（宣统三年）。1900年，两广总督德寿与前总督李鸿章奏准仿香港铜仙铸造机制铜圆。机制铜圆较之方孔铜钱铸造精良，市商乐用，流通顺畅。次年，清政府即谕令沿江沿海各省准许仿铸。尔后，全国各地纷纷开机铸造铜圆。除中央户部铸造者外，地方各省所铸铜圆，皆在其正面上缘镌写省名。

TheQingDynastycoppercoin，formallyknownastheQingDynastymechanismcopperround，wascastin1900（guangxu26thyearoftheQingDynasty）andendedin1911（Xuantongthirdyear）．In1900，GovernorDEShouandformerGovernorLiHongzhangofGuangdongandGuangdongprovincessignedaletterofapprovaltoforgeabronzeroundinimitationofaHongKongbronzefairy．Mechanismcopperroundthanthesquareholecoppercoincastingfine，themarketmusicwith，smoothcirculation．Thefollowingyear，theQinggovernmentorderedtheprovincesalongtheriverandcoastalprovincestoallowtheimitationofcasting．Later，thecountryhasstartedcastingcopperround．Inadditiontothecentralministryofthefoundry，thelocalprovincescastcopperround，areengravedonthefrontedgeoftheprovincename．

户部造币总厂是中国第一个国家造币厂。清朝，为了整饬金融和巩固封建统治地位，光绪二十八年（1902），袁世凯接任天津都统衙门后，任命周学熙为北洋银元局总办。周学熙先选址在离直隶总督衙门不远处的河北西窑洼大悲禅院护卫宫建造币厂。清光绪二十九年九月，在大经路上动工兴建户部天津银钱总厂，时称“东厂”。原北洋银元局称“西厂”。光绪三十一年（1905）5月建成开工。因其直属户部，故将原“天津银钱总厂”，命名为户部“造币总厂”。1909年清政府改组全国铜元局，铸币权归中央，并将各地造币厂并为九个分厂，天津为总厂，并颁布了《造币厂章程》，以防止伪造。至此天津的户部造币总厂成为全国货币制造中心。

MinistryofFinancemintisthefirstnationalmintinChina．IntheQingDynasty，inordertorepairthefinancialsystemandconsolidatethefeudalrulingposition，YuanShikaitookovertheDutongYamenofTianjinandappointedZhouXuexiasthegeneralofficeofbeiyangSilverandyuanBureauinthe28thyearofGuangxuDynasty（1902）．ZhouXuexifirstselectedasitenotfarfromtheZhiligovern－generalyumen，HebeiXiayawaGreatMercyTempleguardpalacetobuildthemint．QingGuangxuinSeptember29，dawaroadconstructionoftheministryofhousingTianjinsilvergeneralfactory，said＂eastfactory．＂TheformerBeiyangsilverbureausaid＂Westfactory＂．ConstructionbeganinMay1905，the31styearoftheGuangxuEmperor．AsitisdirectlyundertheMinistryofAccounts，theformer＂TianjinYinqianGeneralFactory＂wasnamed＂CoinageGeneralFactory＂bytheMinistryofAccounts．In1909，theQinggovernmentreorganizedtheNationalCopperCoinBureau，vestedtherightofcoinageinthecentralgovernment，anddividedthevariousmintsintoninebranches，withTianjinasthegeneralfactory，andpromulgatedthemintChartertopreventforgery．Sofartianjinministryoffinancecoinagegeneralfactorytobecomethenationalcurrencymanufacturingcenter．

此枚大清铜币直径：33．6mm重：14．23g．边齿规整，字口深峻，流通痕迹明显，历经百年岁月的沉淀，钱币表面形成了一层自然醇厚的包浆，抚之，清凉舒爽，手感极好。此币中心突起，上面以阴文铸四川省简称川，正面中部为汉文“大清铜币”四字，两侧有汉文干支纪年“丙午”，并左右铸有“户部”，下铸“当制钱二十文”字样。背面珠圈内铸蟠龙纹饰，神龙威武，遒劲有力，皇族尊贵气息一览无余，珠圈外上环书“光绪年造”，下环书“大清铜币”英文字样。此币品相精细，色泽明亮，成色均匀，构思巧妙，做工精美，图案考究，纹饰细腻，栩栩如生，十分精美，是难得一见的精品古钱币。
