张林东，山东淄博人，大学学历，中国共产党党员，国家干部，省政协委员。现任文化部中国传统文化促进会艺术委员会执行主任，中华全国书画家联合会主席、党组书记，中国毛泽东诗词书画艺术研究院院长，中国书协会员，国家一级美术师。2013年3月应泰国国防部邀请在泰国皇宫成功举办个人画展，并先后韩国、法国、美国多个国家成功举办个人画展。他的国画润格1平尺3万元，书法作品达每平尺2万元。他创作的山水画《锦秋神韵图》在2012年6月全国人大会议中心义卖达148万元。他书写的毛体《长征》诗，在上海拍卖16万元人民币，由国务院认定为国家领导人出访的国礼作品，受到党和国家领导人的高度评价，2014年全国两会光荣当选为特邀嘉宾。

Zhang Lindong, a native of Zibo, Shandong Province, has a university degree, is a member of the Communist Party of China, a national cadre and a member of the CPPCC. His landscape painting "Jin Qiu Shen Yun Tu" was sold at the National People's Congress Convention Center in June 2012 for 1.48 million yuan. The Mao Long March poem written by him was auctioned in Shanghai for RMB 160,000, which was recognized by the State Council as a national ceremony work for state leaders to visit, and was highly praised by the party and state leaders. In 2014, the National People's Congress was honored as a special guest.

Zhang Lindong is a descendant of the revolutionary family. Influenced by his family, Zhang Lindong had deep feelings for Chairman Mao since childhood. 2007年初，张林东创办中国毛泽东诗词书画艺术研究院，得到了毛泽东亲属等人的大力支持。研究院在全国各地设分会,办展览,搞联谊,讲传统,足迹遍布大江南北,成为京城一支传播红色文化的重要力量。2009年,张林东又遵照文化部的文化发展要求，成立了中华全国书画家联合会, 并被纳入文化部中国传统文化促进会直接领导,文化部传统文化促进会还任命张林东为传播艺术委员会执行主任。目前，中华全国书画家联合会省级分会已成立十多个,地市级20多个,会员近2000人。
