【藏品简介】据民国时期的张炯伯《广东省造银币》记载：“惟本品因未纪年，殊难遽断，然观其图案，谐作福寿，环绕双龙，幕无英文，意含颂祝，大异常制。由此以推，成为纪念币之一种，专铸以祝慈禧太后七旬万寿者也。”所以张炯伯认为这种银币是在光绪三十一年(1905年)为庆贺慈禧太后七十寿辰而铸造的。由于广东省当时铸造此币的目的是奉献清廷以祝慈禧太后万寿，所以铸额不大，大多奉献给清廷或赠于当时的达官显贵，民间流通的很少，真品凤毛麟角。

Since the purpose of the coin was to dedicate the Qing Dynasty to the empress Cixi for a long life, Guangdong Province had not made much money, most of which were dedicated to the Qing Dynasty or to the dignitaries of the then dignified officials, and few people circulated and few genuine products were given.

此枚广东省造双龙寿字币乃罕见的库平壹两版式，正面：珠圈内铸有满、汉文“光绪元宝”四字，珠圈外上端镌 “广东省造”四字，下端镌刻楷书“库平重壹两”五字，左右两侧各镌有一蝙蝠图案。背面：珠圈内铸一圆形“寿”字，珠圈外铸双龙戏珠图案。此币有一个显著特色，币面两侧各有一蝙蝠图案，寓有吉祥的含义。因为，蝙蝠的“蝠”字与幸福的“福”字读音相同，而把蝙蝠图案铸在币面上，系取“蝠”、“福”两字谐音。将它与背面的“寿”字相对应取意，便构成“福寿双全”之意。由于以上两种版式的寿字双龙币中，广东省造光绪元宝寿字双龙库平重壹两不便于流通使用，故铸额极其稀少，而实重库平七钱二的钱币为当时通行的壹圆型流通币，其铸造量和存世量均大于一两币。

This coin is a rare two-dimensional coin of Kuping one, which is made in Guangdong Province. The front is: the inscription of Manchu and Guangxu Yuanbao in Chinese is found in the Pearl circle. The upper end of the bead circle is engraved with four characters of "made in Guangdong Province", and the lower end is engraved with five characters of "Kuping heavy one two", and a bat map is engraved on both sides. The coin has a distinctive feature, with a bat pattern on both sides of the coin, which implies auspicious meaning. Because the bat's "bat" word is the same as the happy word Fu, and the bat pattern is cast on the coin surface, and the homophony of "bat" and "Fu" is adopted. It is the meaning of "blessing and longevity" by taking meaning corresponding to the word "longevity" on the back. 该币是中国所有龙洋图案银元(包括国外发行的所有银币)中，工艺精湛，雕工完美，浮雕感强烈的品种，镜面平整光滑，纹饰的相惯线显得非常清晰，特别是广东七钱系列银币铸造精美，字口、纹路和边齿深峻，完全是国外铸造的样币风格。作为准备流通的货币(尽管没有流通)，其暗记防伪更是少有后无来者，无可匹敌，钱币表面的包浆醇厚，即便是对银元没有研究的外行也是爱不释手，极具观赏性。此币是1898年光绪权利到达巅峰之时而铸造，只是因为宫廷政变，光绪帝被慈禧投入监狱后此币才未能流通。这种观点也符合历史。
