民国元年1912年英国造贸易银元俗称“站人，站洋”，“站洋”银元，是清末民初时期，由英国铸造，在中国广泛流通的外国货币之一。“站洋”银元进入我国后，开始在广东、广西一带流通，因其制作精美，含银量高，深得商民喜爱。

银币的产生与发展已经有六百多年的历史。据史料介绍，起源于15世纪的银元，始铸于欧洲，又称“洋钱”、“花边钱”或“大洋”，是世界上银本位制国家主要的流通货币。到了16世纪，银元开始向我国流入。民国之后，银元更是被定为主要流通币成为近代币收藏的重要币种之一。清朝的官铸银元始于1890年，并从广东省起步。1893年以后，湖北、江苏、福建等省纷纷仿效广东省，铸造了属于自己的银元货币。

这枚广东省造光绪元宝双龙寿字币，直径3.9cm，厚0.3cm。此枚钱币正面以珠圈为界，可分为内外两个部分珠圈以外，上端为“广东省造”四字，下方为“库平七钱二”字，左右两侧各铸一蝙蝠图案，珠圈以内，铸有满、汉文“光绪元宝”四字。背面也以珠圈为界珠圈外面，铸有双龙图案；珠圈里面，铸有一圆形“寿”字。因其制作美观、稀有版本存世量少，故银币在拍卖市场备受藏友们的密切关注。
