此炉敞口，方唇，颈矮而细，扁鼓腹，饱满偏高，口厚腹壁薄，三钝锥形实足，口沿左右铸兽形耳，铭文年款于炉外底，刻有“宣德年制”，书法自然舒朗，优美大方。皮色呈黄褐，实蕴藏经，宝光溢彩，铜质金灿似火，黄银相渗，赤色密润，为混合精炼铜也，细密腻实，必得十二炼，方可铸出此等高器也。烟熏痕迹清晰，整体贵重大气，神韵高尚，是为厅堂上光耀重器也。且传承有序，极品佳器，具有极高的艺术价值与收藏价值。
