今天给各位带来的藏品是 明代早期玉髻：长90.58mm，两头为花瓣型，整体雕刻工艺规整。这种扁髻子，两头粗，中间细，玉材质。扁玉髻的两面分反正，反面是光的，整个形状略往里弯，具有十分明显的装饰意义，固定发上，闪闪发光。中国古代男子 女子将头发挽结于头顶的发式，玉髻是许多男子和民族妇女在修饰头发是所不可缺少的装饰品。

明代男性使用簪或髻，主要用于固定束发冠或是皇帝、皇太子的冠冕。束发冠材质各异，但大都在左右两侧设对称的一对或两对穿孔，多由两侧插簪或髻固冠，也有少数仅以一簪或髻贯穿。这类簪或髻长度多在十厘米左右，通常两枚或四枚形制相同的簪成对使用。
