1911年10月在辛亥革命的历史大背景下,以保路运动为开端，12月四川省宣布独立，建立大汉四川军政府。尹昌衡出任军政部长,被推为都督后,组织军政府。为满足军需和保路运动的需要，同时也为了维持政府开支，于1912年起，四川成都造币厂奉军政府之令，更换前清龙纹铜元旧模，雕版民国铜元新款，正式开铸“军政府造四川铜币汉字银元”，开铸之初仅发行十文、二十文两种钱币。同年5月，又添铸当五十文一种，当年计铸十文铜元6055万余枚，二十文铜元1247万余枚，五十文铜元935万余枚。"军政府造四川铜币"是辛亥革命时期的产物。
In October 1911, under the historical background of the 1911 Revolution, Sichuan Province announced its independence and established the Da Han Sichuan Military Government, starting with the road protection movement. After Yin Changheng became military and political minister and was promoted as viceroy, he organized the military government. In order to meet the needs of military supplies and the road protection movement, as well as to maintain government expenditure, in 1912, the Chengdu Mint in Sichuan was ordered by the military government to replace the old Qing dragon pattern copper dollar model and to carve out a new version of the Republic of China copper dollar model. The "Sichuan copper coin made by the military government in Chinese characters and silver dollars" was officially launched. At the beginning of the project, only 10 and 20 coins were issued. In May of the same year, another 50 bronze coins were added. In that year, more than 60.55 million copper coins, 12.47 million copper coins and 9.35 million copper coins were cast. "Sichuan copper coins made by the military government" was a product of the 1911 revolution.

此枚钱币图案文字清晰、无磨损，表面平整光洁，边缘无明显撞击痕迹等，基本可算得上好品相。铜币正面中央珠圈内有"四川铜币"四字，上下左右分列，其中心饰有芙蓉花纹。珠圈上缘书"军政府造"四字，下缘为"当制钱五十文"字样，标明币值，左右饰以花星纹饰。铜币背面中央大圆圈内为一篆书"汉"字，"汉"字底有数十条横直纹，因而钱币收藏者也称之为"汉"字铜元。"汉"字圆圈外还环绕有18个小圆圈，代表当时的十八个省份。把18个小圆圈围绕着"汉"字联成一体，寓意十八省人民团结起来共同为"驱逐鞑虏，恢复中华"而战斗。它带有辛亥革命那一时期鲜明的时代印记，见证了那一段波澜壮阔的民国历史!据此它有着不同的收藏价值。
