王涛，著名人物画家，当代写意人物画坛的代表之一。现任中国画学会副会长。1943年生于安徽合肥 ，号独天斋主，寄醉园主，字问溪亭茶客。1967年毕业于安徽师范大学艺术系美术专业班。

Wang Tao, a famous figure painter, is one of the representatives of contemporary freehand figure painting. Now he is vice president of Chinese painting society. He was born in 1943 in Hefei, Anhui Province. He is the owner of datianzhai, the owner of jizuiyuan, and the tea customer of wenxiting. Graduated from the Art Department of Anhui Normal University in 1967.

1979-1982年中国美术学院（原浙江美院）国画人物研究生班毕业。王涛先生于1985年后，曾出任安徽省书画院院长、安徽省美术家协会副主席、中国美术家协会理事、中国美协中国画艺委会委员、中国国家画院研究员、中国画学会常务理事、中央文史研究馆书画院艺委会委员、国家一级美术师，享受国务院授予有特殊贡献的政府津贴。

1979-1982 graduated from the graduate class of Chinese painting figures of China Academy of Fine Arts (formerly Zhejiang Academy of Fine Arts). After 1985, Mr. Wang Tao served as the president of Anhui Academy of calligraphy and painting, vice chairman of Anhui Artists Association, director of China Artists Association, member of China Painting Art Committee of China Artists Association, researcher of China National Academy of painting, executive director of China painting society, member of Art Committee of calligraphy and Painting Academy of Central Research Institute of literature and history, and national first-class artist, enjoying the special contribution granted by the State Council Paste.

多次参加国内重大展览并获奖，被各大美术馆、博物馆、人民大会堂、国务院等单位收藏和陈列，在美国、德国、日本、英国、荷兰、新加坡、韩国、香港、台湾等国家和地区举办个展。
