紫砂壶行情再度发烧并非偶然。早在上世纪80年代，港台一些藏家大量购藏紫砂壶，使得其市场价格直线上涨，上世纪80年代末逐渐回落。随着国人的钱袋子越来越富足，精品紫砂壶开始成为各路藏家追捧的对象。“2010年至2012年，高级工艺师制作的紫砂壶价格普遍以每年30%至50% 的幅度攀升，个别名家名壶的价格更是成倍飙升。”半岛收藏协会会长王涛说，其中独领风骚的当属上世纪90年代中期辞世的紫砂泰斗顾景舟的作品了。2012年顾景舟的“提璧壶”、“双圈壶”、“虚扁壶”分别以1288万元、1150万元、943万元成交，总价超过3300万元。

Wang Tao, President of the peninsula Collection Association, said that the leading figure among them was Gu Jingzhou, a purple sand tycoon who died in the mid-1990s. In 2012, Gu Jingzhou's "Tibi pot", "double circle pot" and "virtual flat pot" were sold at 12.88 million yuan, 11.5 million yuan and 9.43 million yuan respectively, with a total price of more than 33 million yuan.
