此组四川铜币“军政府造”当壹百文汉字铜币，钱币正面珠圈内书“四川铜币”四字，中心作海棠花一小朵，上边铸“军政府造”四字，下边为“当制钱壹百文”六字；背面用十八小圈绕一大圈，圈内篆文“汉”字，以直线纹为底，上环为“中华民国二年”字样。该枚钱币代表了中国近代的货币文化，反映了我国近代历史、经济、金融的兴衰和沧桑，具有很高的艺术观赏价值和收藏价值。

“军政府造四川铜币”是辛亥革命时期的产物。1911年12月发生“成都叛乱”,以尹昌衡、罗纶为正副都督的四川军政府取代了建设仅12天的大汉四川军政府。新的四川军政府建设之初即面临着需用日繁、度支日绌的财政困窘时势。军政府迅速接受了四川成都造币厂,决议铸造“四川铜币”以应急。民国元年（1912年）4月,四川成都造币厂奉四川军政府之命,开模铸造“军政府造四川铜币”（也称“汉”字铜元）。

光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一。清代广东省公开铸行的第三套机制银币，为我国晚清自铸机制银币的典范。光绪 13年(1886年)两广总督张之洞在广东创办用机器铸币的广东钱局，通过香港汇丰银行订购英国伯明翰喜敦造币厂的造币机器。光绪13年正月(1887年2月)张之洞上奏朝廷请许广东试铸银元。同年3月光绪皇帝发布上谕命张之洞“听候谕旨遵行。”次年清政府迫于抵制外洋减少白银流失之需，批准了其请求。当年广东钱局利用喜敦造币厂订做的钢模试铸了七钱三分银币。光绪十五年(1889年)正式铸行“七三番版银币”供市场流通。
