传说宋朝大学士苏东坡晚年不得志，弃官来到蜀山，闲居在蜀山脚下的凤凰村上，他喜欢吃茶，对茶也很讲究。此地既产素负盛名的「唐贡茶」，又有玉女潭，金沙泉好水，还有「海内争求」的紫砂壶。有了这三样东西，苏东坡吃吃茶、吟吟诗，倒也觉得比在京城做官惬意，但这三者之中苏东坡还感到有一样东西美中不足。什么呢？就是紫砂茶壶都太小，怎么办呢？苏东坡想：我何不按照自己的心意做一把大茶壶？对，自己做茶壶自己用！他叫书僮买来上好的天青泥和几样必要的工具，开始动手了。谁知看似容易做却难，苏东坡一做做了几个月，还是一筹莫展。

It is said that Su Dongpo, a great scholar of Song Dynasty, was not successful in his later years. He abandoned his official position and came to Shu mountain and lived in Fenghuang village at the foot of Shu mountain. He liked to eat tea and was very particular about it. It is not only famous for its "Tang Gong tea", but also for its Jade Maiden pool, Jinsha spring, good water and purple clay pot. With these three things, Su Dongpo is more comfortable to eat tea and sing poems than to be an official in the capital. But among them, Su Dongpo also feels that one thing is not good enough. What? The teapot is too small. What should I do? Su Dongpo thought: why don't I make a big teapot according to my heart? Yes, make your own teapot! He asked the boy to buy some good clay and some necessary tools and began to work. Who knows that it seems easy to do, but it's difficult. After several months of doing it, Su Dongpo still has nothing to do.

一天夜里，小书僮提着灯笼送来夜点心，苏东坡手捧点心，眼睛却朝灯笼直转，心想：哎！我何不照灯笼的样子做一把茶壶？吃过点心，说做就做，一做就做到鸡叫天亮。等到粗壳子做好，毛病就出来了：因为泥坯是烂的，茶壶肩部老往下塌。苏东坡想了个土办法，劈了几根竹丬丬，撑在灯笼壶肚里头，等泥坯变硬一些，再把竹丬拿掉。

One night, the little boy brought the night snack with the lantern. Su Dongpo held the snack in his hand, but his eyes turned straight to the lantern, thinking: ah! Why don't I make a teapot like a lantern? After eating snacks, do it as you say, and do it as soon as you do. When the thick shell is ready, the problem comes out: because the adobe is rotten, the shoulder of the teapot always falls down. Su Dongpo thought of a local way. He chopped several bamboo sticks and propped them up in the lantern pot. When the adobe became harder, he took the bamboo sticks off.

灯笼壶做好，又大又光滑，不好拿，一定要做个壶把。苏东坡思量：我这把茶壶是要用来煮茶的，如果像别的茶壶那样把壶把装在侧面肚皮上，火一烧，壶把就烧的乌漆墨黑，而且烫手。怎么办？他想了又想，抬头见屋顶的大梁从这一头搭到那一头，两头都有木柱撑牢，灵机一动说：「有了！」赶紧动手照屋梁的样子来做茶壶。经过几个月的细作精修，茶壶作成了，苏东坡非常满意，就起了个名字叫「提梁壶」。

Looking up, he saw that the beams of the roof were built from one end to the other, and there were wooden pillars on both ends. He said with a sudden inspiration, "yes! "Quickly make the teapot according to the shape of the roof beam. After a few months of intensive work, the teapot was made. Su Dongpo was very satisfied, so he named it "teapot of tiriang".

此对壶设计别具一格，前后贯通，互相呼应；造型典雅大气，胎质厚重，铜质细腻，包浆老道，纹饰精美，肩的斜度很小，刀工流畅，工艺难度极高，打破常规的提梁，给人以新鲜感。

The design of this pair of pots is unique, running forward and backward, echoing each other; the shape is elegant and atmospheric, the tire is heavy, the copper is fine, the coating is old, the decoration is exquisite, the shoulder slope is very small, the abdomen diameter is large, the ratio between height and width is great; the knife is smooth, the technology is very difficult, breaking the regular lifting beam, giving people a sense of freshness.

因为这种茶壶别具一格，后来就有一些艺人仿造，并把这种式样的茶壶叫做「东坡提梁壶」，或简称「提苏」

Because this kind of teapot is unique, some artists later imitated it and called it "Dongpo teapot of tiriang" or "TISU" for short
