如果有大型的国际会议在我国举办，参会的国家领导人在离别之时，都会收到中国精心准备的特色纪念品作为国礼，这些纪念品之中几乎都有掐丝珐琅工艺品的身影。掐丝珐琅又称作“景泰蓝”，因为兴盛于明朝景泰年间，而且珐琅釉又是以蓝色为主调，所以便有了“景泰蓝”的雅称。

掐丝珐琅，中国传统工艺品，属于珐琅器品种之一，一般特指铜胎掐丝珐琅。掐丝珐琅，其制作一般在金、铜胎上以金丝或铜丝掐出图案，填上各种颜色的珐琅之后经焙烧、研磨、镀金等多道工序而成。掐丝珐琅有着五彩斑斓、华丽夺目的魅力，掐丝珐琅的制作大致可以分为7个步骤：制胎，即以红铜板制出器形；掐丝，即将压扁的铜丝依设计饰纹粘牢于胎体；烧焊，将其再次焊接牢实；点蓝，依饰纹中颜色依次上釉彩，先点地，次点花，再点蓝，后加亮白；烧蓝，点一次蓝即烧一次，重复多者可达3次；磨光，以细砂石、黄石及木炭分别逐次打磨光滑蓝料与铜丝的粗糙处；镀金，即抛光除锈的最后一道工序。可以说，掐丝珐琅的制作工艺既运用了青铜工艺，又利用了瓷器工艺，同时又大量引进了传统绘画和雕刻技艺，堪称中国传统工艺的集大成者。

It can be said that the production process of filigree enamel not only uses the bronze technology, but also uses the porcelain technology. At the same time, it introduces a lot of traditional painting and carving skills, which can be called the master of Chinese traditional technology.

一直以来，掐丝珐琅因为用料昂贵、工艺繁琐，而成为仅供皇家把玩的工艺品。无论是在明朝还是在清朝，都曾经在宫廷之中设置专门制作掐丝珐琅的珐琅作，统治者刻意阻止珐琅彩的工艺外传，从而使得掐丝珐琅工艺品成为皇家专享，一直到了清朝末年，才有匠师为生计走出皇宫，将掐丝珐琅的制作技艺带入民间。所以我们如今看到的绝大部分清朝掐丝珐琅文物都曾是宫廷之中的珍宝。

So most of the filigree enamel relics we see in the Qing Dynasty were once treasures in the palace.
