光绪三十二年(1906年)，清政府在天津成立户部造币总厂，铸造“光绪元宝”银元和“大清银币”。初铸银币现俗称“老云南”。面值有七钱二分(一元)、三钱六分(五角)、一钱四分四厘(二角)。三个品种后铸背龙图无英文俗称“新云南”。面值有七钱二分(一元)、三钱六分(五角)、一钱四分四厘(二角)、七分二厘(一角)四个品种。此枚云南省造的光绪元宝库平三钱六分。品相完整，包浆自然。此件藏品是银质铸币，正面珠圈内铸有“光绪元宝”四字，上方铸有“云南省造”，下方铸有币值“库平三钱六分"字样，左右各一小花装饰。钱币背面铸有一条盘龙，龙爪张扬，神武有力，工艺精湛，雕工完美。字迹清晰深俊，银质优良，钱文精美，十分耐赏，是光绪元宝银币当中这个省份造的比较稀少的。此式钱，包浆自然，品相完整，图文清晰，存世极少，是古钱币中不可多得的一件精品，颇受古钱币爱好者追捧，具有极高的收藏价值，值得收藏。
