近期我司征集到一枚湖北省造光绪元宝库平七钱二分，

珠圈内满汉文“光绪银元”，上环“湖北省造”， 下环“库平七钱二分” “光绪元宝”四个字，字体俊秀。光字最后一笔竖弯勾，做了一个鸟的造型，鸟嘴紧连光字一瞥。光绪的绪字中间那一瞥，仿佛刀柄，一刀刺进了绪字的心脏。元字，锤击鸟眼，有吸干大清元气之意。宝字的宝盖上面一点，探出宝盖下方，字体写的柔弱飘逸。

背面中心为蟠龙图，纹饰精美，龙鳞细腻，线条优美，流畅堪然，铸造工艺精湛，定睛一看仿佛一条翱翔天际的神龙，栩栩如生，惟妙惟悄。上下环英文，左右各一圆点花。此枚钱币铸造工艺精湛，字体、图案都符合当时的铸造特征，满文书法根基牢固、运笔自如、浑厚有力，齿边等使用痕迹明显，包浆滋润，极具收藏价值。

光绪元宝为清代货币，当时正值洋务运动时期，这股思潮也影响到了铸币业，两广总督张之洞曾于光绪十三年委托使英大臣在英国订购全套造币机器，并在广东钱局首铸机制银元和铜元。其后，各省纷纷仿效，购国外机械铸造银，这也使得银币沾染上西方色彩。
