户部丙午中字大清银样币壹两，天津造币总厂于光绪三十二年(1906年)铸造，此币原模系英国伯明翰设计并制作样币，连同样币及模具一同交由户部铸造的清代标准银币之一。由于库平一两银币在实际流通中与当时通行的壹圆流通币(重库平七钱二分)兑换不方便，所有没有能够正式推广行用，仅有铸额极少的一两银币进入流通领域。户部丙午中字大清银币有面值一两、五钱、二钱、一钱共四等。

银币正面中央珠圈内镌“大清银币”四字，四个字中间的空心圆圈内镌一个“中”字。珠圈外上镌满文“大清银币”四个字，满文两侧分镌“丙午”两个汉字。珠圈外左右两侧分镌“户部”两个字。银币正面的边缘镌精美的水波纹。俗称“中”字壹两，铸工精美，版底无瑕未正式发行，光绪三十二年（1906年）天津户部造币总厂制造，存世少见，完全未使用品

清代末朝因币制紊乱，朝廷亟思改革，光绪三十二年于天津户部造币总厂试制计重银币，见有壹两、伍钱、贰钱及壹钱四种，正面中央阴文“中”字，外围钤“大清银币”、珠圈外上钤满文，下钤币值“壹两”，左右分钤“户部”、“丙午”；背面中间蟠龙图，外围钤“光绪年造”及英文（译为“大清帝国银币”），仅试铸未发行，存世为数甚少
