窑变釉，顾名思义，是器物在烧成过程中出现了意想不到的釉色效果。由 于窑中含有多种呈色元素，经氧化或还原作用，瓷器在出窑后可能呈现出意外的釉色效果。因由窑变釉出现出于偶然，形态特别，人们又不知其原理，只知于窑内焙烧过程变化而得，故称之为“窑变釉”，俗语有“窑变无双”，就是指窑变釉的变化莫测，独一无二。

窑变釉,所施釉料中除铜外,还含有铁、锰、钻、钛等微量着色金属元素。在烧成过程中,这些金属的氧化物呈色后相互交融,使釉面呈现出缤纷的色彩,其中釉色偏红的称"火焰红".

     晚清民初窑变釉兽耳瓶，高约：12.8cm  腹径约：8cm 底边由于当时有爆釉现象，有两处简单填了下，其余完整无冲。 器形规整端庄，尺寸非常大气。器身颈部两侧堆塑兽脸，堆塑精美，器身窑变釉色变化自然精美，底部胎质老化自然，大开门到代。这窑变釉兽耳瓶，保存完好，极为少见。具有很高的收藏价值。
