【藏品简介】：玉扳指又叫玉谍(音同射)，本意是拉弓射箭时扣弦用的一种工具，套在射手右手拇指上，以保护射手右拇指不被弓弦勒伤的专用器物。和田玉扳指刚出现的时候并不像我们现在一样用来把玩，和田玉扳指在古代就已经有了。但是直到满清时期才广为流传。这有很大部分的原因是因为清朝满族人统治了中国，满族文化广泛传播。不过在满清时，扳指并不是用和田玉做的，而是鹿的骨头。戴在拇指上是为了射箭时用力拉弓伤到手指头。因此最开始是作为防护设施来使用的。后来随着和平年代的到来，人们佩戴的扳指由鹿的骨头转变成了和田玉。和田玉扳指也不是被用来保护手指头了，而是用来象征权势与地位。不仅是皇帝佩戴，皇帝可能还会将和田玉扳指赠送过在战场上立过重大军功的将士。所以在那个时候，佩戴和田玉扳指的人都是位高权重的人。
