鸡血石，是辰砂条带的地开石，因鲜红色似鸡血的辰砂（朱砂）而得名。鸡血石同寿山石、青田石、巴林石并列，享有中国“四大国石”的美称。主要用作为印章或是工艺雕刻品材料。作为中国四大国石之一的鸡血石，因其艳红似鸡血，古往今来一直颇受人们关注，近几年更是由于鸡血石矿脉开采过度几近枯竭，导致产量非常的有限。然而，物以稀为贵，产量的稀少却使得鸡血石的价格水涨船高，一路飙升，因此才有了“一克鸡血三克金”的说法。

Chicken blood stone, which is the ground opening stone of Cinnabar strip, is named after Cinnabar (cinnabar), which is like chicken blood in bright red. Bloodstone, along with Shoushan Stone, Qingtian Stone and Balin Stone, enjoys the laudatory title of "Four National Stones" in China. Mainly used as seal or craft carving material. As one of the four national stones in China, bloodstone has been paid close attention to since ancient times because of its brilliant red like bloodstone. In recent years, the output of bloodstone vein is very limited due to over-exploitation and almost exhaustion. However, the scarcity of goods makes the price of bloodstone soar, which leads to the saying "one gram of chicken blood and three grams of gold".

随着时间的推移，产量日益稀少而需求不减，内蒙古赤峰市巴林右旗出产的巴林石中也发现了近似的鸡血石矿，故而此类鸡血石又被称为巴林鸡血石。至上世纪90年代在陕西、甘肃、四川、湖南、云南等地也发现了鸡血石。不少人知道，在传统治印的用材上，昌化石与寿山石、青田石、巴林石并称“四台甫石”。在前史上，鸡血石曾一度作为昌化石之中的精贵品种而出现。其开采已有1000多年前史，主要用于制造印章、雕琢工艺品和原石欣赏。在明代，昌化鸡血石已成为进献皇宫的贡品。清代以来，多位帝后选用昌化鸡血石制造玉玺。

With the passage of time, the output has become increasingly scarce and the demand has not decreased. Similar bloodstone mines have been found in Balin Stone produced in Balin Right Banner of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, so this kind of bloodstone is also called bahrain bloodstone. In 1990s, bloodstone was also found in Shaanxi, Gansu, Sichuan, Hunan and Yunnan. Many people know that Changhua Stone, along with Shoushan Stone, Qingtian Stone and Balin Stone, are also called "Sitaifu Stone" in traditional materials for printing. In the previous history, bloodstone once appeared as a precious variety among Chang fossils. It has been mined for more than 1,000 years, and is mainly used for making seals, carving handicrafts and appreciating rough stones. In the Ming Dynasty, Changhua bloodstone became a tribute to the imperial palace. Since the Qing Dynasty, many emperors chose Changhua bloodstone to make jade seal.

This bloodstone, weighing 3,500 grams, basically keeps the original stone shape. Stone looks like a towering Tianzhu, full of king's domineering. On the translucent foundation, the ground color presents rich level changes, just like the burning clouds flowing in the sky. The stone is bright red and pure, glittering and translucent, and drops into the stone like a burning flame in the dark.
